Projects

We are constantly working to make improvements to our community as well as maintain the beauty of our neighborhood.

Scheduled Projects

Spotted Lanternfly Treatments
The board approved two treatments for the Spotted Lanternflies this year. The first was completed in early May to address the nymphs which hatched from the egg masses on our property. The second treatment is to commence in August when they begin to emerge as adults. Last year, the single treatment in July was insufficient. Note, we may still encountered the bugs which are notorious "hitchhickers" on vehicles or flying over from adjacent properties.

Aphid Treatment
Completed in May, 2021.

Concrete Repairs
Repairs to some of the concrete throughout the entire community are planned for 2021. Management has reviewed and recommended areas to be repaired which the board has approved. We are awaiting a start date from our contractor.

Sealcoating of Roads
Upon completion of the concrete repairs, we will be sealcoating the roads throughout our community. The concrete repairs will impact the roads as they need to cut out some of asphalt. The board decided it was best to wait until that work was completed before sealcoating.

Tree Removal & Replacement
The board and management met with an arborist and reviewed several of the dying or dead trees throughout the community. In particular the trees located between the rear of the homes on Chadwick & Abbott. Weather and conditions permitting, the trees will be removed and either replaced with more suitable trees or returned to turf. Several of the trees were planted too close to others.

Upcoming Projects

These projects have not been scheduled and may still be in the planning or bidding process.

Turf Repairs
Turf repairs are an ongoing process. Many "dead spots" are close to trees and tree root systems which are drawing the moisture out of the soil. The board and management is working with a turf specialist to identify and remediate the damage. The first recommended step was to remove some of the trees, particularly where they are densely planted. Once the trees are removed, the areas will be seeded (Fall, 2021).
